Sea Wolf was established to offer an additional option for water polo athletes in Auckland. The club draws on extensive coaching experience and an international network of colleagues to keep training programmes and game tactics current and effective.

VOLUNTARY ROLES
All four committee members are responsible for the employment, support and supervision of our paid staff and the effective running of our charitable club entity in line with the club's vision and constitution.
All committee roles are voluntary with a term of two years.

Committee - Chair
The Chair provides strategic leadership and oversight of the committee, runs meetings, supports staff and the Head Coach, resolves issues, represents the club, and ensures legal, financial, and constitutional compliance. Ideal attributes are strong leadership, big-picture thinking, excellent communication and diplomacy, collaboration, resilience, impartiality, and prior committee experience.

Committee - Deputy Chair
The Deputy Chair supports and stands in for the Chair, providing continuity of leadership while overseeing sub-committees and leading special projects such as uniforms, fundraising, and collaboration with the Treasurer. Ideal attributes include tact, strong communication and listening skills, good organisation, decisiveness, regular time commitment, and confidence in public speaking and meeting management.

Committee - Secretary
The secretary manages the club’s administration and governance records, preparing and distributing agendas and minutes, tracking and following up actions, storing meeting documents, handling communications, and ensuring legal compliance. Key skills include strong communication and customer-service abilities, governance or committee experience, teamwork, organisation, and time management.

Committee - Treasurer
The Treasurer oversees the club’s finances, including budgeting, monthly financial reporting, bookkeeping, banking, payroll, asset control, and ensuring compliance with financial requirements and external audits. Ideal attributes include accounting experience, proficiency with Xero and Excel, strong technical reporting ability, problem-solving skills, and strategic financial planning.

Grants & Fundraising coordinator
This role focused on securing financial support for Sea Wolf Water Polo through grants and fundraising initiatives:
Identifying grant and funding opportunities
Coordinating and submitting funding applications
Working with the committee and club community to maximise fundraising outcomes
Supporting both club-wide initiatives and individual member fundraising opportunities

Manages memberships: applications, renewals, databases, member communications.
Day-to-day office/admin tasks
Coordinate events and activities: bookings, logistics, ticketing, volunteers.

Prepare and manage annual budgets and forecasts.

Process payroll, player/staff contracts
Ensure tax compliance and financial obligations are met
Support strategic financial planning, cost analysis, and financial modeling for growth decisions
